Mops are especially excellent when using oil for bore lubrication because they create a foaming action that helps in the lubrication process. They are available in 100% cotton and wool with a brass core.

All cotton mops have #8-32 thread couplings except the .17 cal.

All wool mops have #5/16-27 thread couplings – standard shotgun.
